Mogadishu , Somalia (MIC) Mogadishu roads, capital of Somalia reopens after a four-day blockade due to of tight security, witness said on Saturday.
Some of Mogadishu’s business community who talked to Midnimo said the security operations hampered and slowed down their businesses.
“Today the major roads in Mogadishu have been re-opened following four days of tight security which was the biggest capital, Mohamed Hassan, told Midnimo Information Center.
Hundreds of vehicles stranded on both sides of the pass had been allowed to move, he said.
Somali business community said they are complaining of impact resulted from the security operations that have been conducted in Mogadishu by Somali government forces and AMISOM troops for the last four days.
Business along the Maka al-Mukarama road is said to have been the most affected by the operations as it remained closed down for four consecutive days.
Somali Government deployed police and especial forces in the capital, leading to the closure of roads in Mogadishu.
The movement of people and vehicles were restricted during the operations with business operations in parts of the city coming to a standstill as security officers continued with their crackdown.
