UK to host Somalia peace conference

London (MIC) UK Prime Minister David Cameron is to host an international conference in London to help Somalia end more than two decades of conflict.

World leaders have gathered in London for a major conference on the future of Somalia.

On 7 May 2013, an International Conference on Somalia was held at Lancaster House in London, where members of the international community discussed the further progress on the Petersberg agreement from 2013 on the democratization of Somalia .

The leaders of Somalia and 50 nations involved in the war and aid efforts there gathered in London, the conference will start on Today.

More than 50 government officials will attend the conference as well as the representatives of the UN, African Union, Turkey,  Arab League  and IMF.

Somalia’s future, terrorism, and piracy, as well as the establishment of the military, police, judicial agencies and financial management will be on the agenda.

This is second international conference on Somalia host Britain since 2012.
