Kenya president Uhurru Kenyatta speaking with hundreds of people in Mandera northern Kenya said that they want to reopen the border with Somalia and Kenya, which now is closed.
Uhuru Kenyatta said that the opening of the border will be great importance for Kenya and Somalia citizens, and will be part of contributing to economic growth in both countries.
Mr Kenyatta urged the People living in Mandera, to work with the government, and report if they see Alshabaab crossing the border.
“We want to open our border with Somalia, that is now closed and will be a much chance for business and economy grew up ” said Kenyatta.
Uhuru Kenyatta has also called on the Somali people who live in the region to select individuals those represent local government.
Kenya has already announced that it closed its border with Somalia after al-Shabaab attacks increased.
