The government has withdrawn security forces deployed to the Lower House buildings following the standoff over the motion against Speaker Mohamed Jawari.
Secretary General of the House Abdikarin Buhu confirmed the withdrawal to Goobjoog News adding the previous team has been reinstated.
The deployment of the security officers which Jawari likened to an attack of Parliament by the Executive drew sharp reaction from lawmakers. The Senate also urged the Government to withdraw the forces to pave way for resolution of the political stalemate.
The government however maintained the deployment was in line with normal security procedures.
The move to pull out the forces came a day after President Mohamed Farmaajo met the Federal Parliament leaders upon which it was agreed the Saturday session of the House be put off.
